Open through November 1st, Jacob’s Farm features a 10-acre corn maze and a host of autumn experiences perfect for a family outing, or even just an open-air night out.
Jacob’s Farm has been owned and operated by the Witkop family since 1892 and is recognized by the State of Michigan’s Historical Commission as a Centennial Farm.
The first first corn maze was introduced in the Fall of 2008 and quickly became one of the area’s most popular attractions.
The interactive maze changes each year—this season, the design reflects a nautical theme with historical facts coming from Great Lakes.
According to Brett Hood, “There is so much history behind Michigan Shipwrecks and many shipwrecks are still being discovered, I knew it was the perfect theme idea.”
Plan on being entertained for as long as two hours as you navigate the trails.
In addition to selling pumpkins and other fruits in season, the spacious outdoor dining area serves fresh donuts, a variety of artisan pizzas, and “corn-centric” appetizers.
Children and adults can quench their thirst with non-alcoholic drinks or a variety of Michigan beers, wines and ciders, as well as craft cocktails exclusively using spirits from Mammoth Distillery.
Other upcoming events include a spooky but kid-friendly Halloween spectacular on Saturday, October 31st @ 7pm, and a first annual A-Maze-Ing 5k Race on Saturday, November 14th @ 10am. Participants can register in advance to run, walk or jog this unique event which will also feature a corny joke contest.
The whole farm or partial locations such as the hay barn are also available for corporate or wedding rentals, birthday or graduation parties.
Coming soon — Jacob’s Farm plans to add beach volleyball, disc golf, hiking trail, and more.
